By incorporating the Pilates repertoire into the management of women’s health conditions we can access our deep postural muscles in conjunction with the way we breathe which helps optimise our pelvic floor function. This helps us to release tension and gives us the confidence to move freely.
Post Natal Core: Whether you’re 6 weeks post partum of are driving the kids to university, during pregnancy our bodies undergo enormous physiological changes and some of these remain after birth and resonate for years to come. Pilates helps by optimising breathing strategies and the intrinsic ability of our core and pelvic floor which left untrained this can lead to stress incontinence, urge incontinence, prolapse or still-looking-pregnant tummies.
Pelvic Health: Learn the tools you need to take back control of your body and provide you with strategies for sustainable results. Too often the symptoms of pelvic floor dysfunction are ignored, brushed off as nothing or treated with medication that only masks the problem.
After completing a pre-screening questionnaire which helps form the basis of your tailored programme we will go through the foundations to help establish correct breathing and core strategies, working closely alongside Women’s Health Physios to get you feeling and looking where you want to be.
